Deafening Silence

“I was detained for 64 hours with little information and had to fight for my rights to speak with my lawyer. If I wasn't educated on my rights, I would have been in a difficult situation. This effected my work and in the end I was found innocent and the work of the officers were spotty. For nearly 3 days I slept on a concrete slab, ate minimal food with almost no nutrients, no human interaction and felt like I was no longer a citizen of the USA. It was the worst 3 days of my life and was something I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy.”
